Works in Progress

Levinsohn Abides is an anthology of essays based on a series of misadventures encompassing forty years of poor judgement, miscommunication, and unfortunate social interactions. Philosophical in nature and laced with humor (usually at the expense of the author), these anecdotes could’ve happened to anyone who found themselves in the wrong place at the wrong time.

The Ballad of Lonesome Hawk is a natural extension of the misguided gauntlet thrown down in Levinsohn Abides. It is the ongoing saga of an imperfect man in an imperfect world. Victories and defeats come and go like dust in the wind, and Lonesome Hawk realizes this truth but still succumbs to the whims of destiny and karma. Only the wisest of men can routinely transcend day-to-day ups and downs, and Lonesome Hawk is most assuredly not among them.

The First Cousin of My First Cousin is a trilogy that begins with a romantic interlude that occurred in 1974 at a family wedding and became a distant memory until it resurfaced again almost fifty years later. Looking back, there wasn’t anything better than young romance. It’s the one pure break we catch in this life. This true story is a commentary about the glory of young love, the invisible passing of time, and the indestructible power of connection.

Regret is a novella about an extra-marital affair that takes an unexpected turn during a weekend getaway in Atlantic City. It’s a tale of greed and lust and unintended consequences in a game where losing everything was the only predictable outcome.
